Ahmedabad: In a single day, the number of corona cases in Gujarat has crossed 5,000, with the number of cases in Ahmedabad also on the rise.  1409 new cases were reported in the city on Saturday.  Due to the increasing number of cases, the decision was taken by the Panna Galla Association to close the ghalla two days a week, although the ghalla remained open in many places.  On Saturday, a decision was taken by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation team to close these alleys and tea kettles.  (File image)

 Action was taken by the Solid Waste Management of Ahmedabad Corporation to close the galla and tea kettles operating in the eastern and western areas of the city.  However, small businesses are now confused as there is no clarity on when to open these galleys and kettles.

 The galleys and kettles may remain closed on days other than weekends, i.e. Sundays, depending on the condition of the city.  Apart from this, some important decisions can be taken to avoid crowding on the leaf galls.  Notably, the leaf gates were closed before the public curfew in March last year which was also closed later and could be reopened after the lockdown.

 Corona status in Gujarat

 In the last 24 hours, 1409 new cases have been reported in Ahmedabad, 913 in Surat, 462 in Rajkot and 287 in Vadodara.  If we look at the situation of Corona in other cities of Gujarat in the last 24 hours 164 in Jamnagar, 118 in Patan, 102 in Mehsana, 66 in Bhavnagar, 52 in Kutch, 52 in Morbi, 48 in Gandhinagar, 48 in Junagadh, 45 in Sabarkantha, 44 in Mahisagar, 41 in Navsari, 41 in Panchmahal, Dahod  And 38 new cases have been reported in Kheda, 33 in Anand, 32 in Amreli, 32 in Bharuch, 29 in Surendranagar, 28 in Gir Somnath, 28 in Narmada, 25 in Valsad, 23 in Banaskantha and 18 in Devbhoomi Dwarka.  The details of newly registered and discharged corona cases in other cities are as follows.

A total of 312151 patients of Corona have been discharged in the state.  While there are 25129 active cases out of which 192 patients are on ventilator while 24937 patients are stable.  In the last 24 hours, 49 more patients have died due to corona in the state including 15 in Surat Corporation, 14 in Ahmedabad Corporation, 8 in Rajkot Corporation, 4 in Vadodara Corporation, 2 in Ahmedabad, 2 in Surendranagar, 1 in Chhota Udepur, 1 in Gandhinagar, 1 in Gandhinagar Corporation and 1 in Surat.  Has happened.

The decision was made due to a crowd gathering at Larry Galla.  The commissioner has ordered immediate closure of food and beverage outlets due to violation of Kovid-19 rules at Lari Galla in different places.

 Earlier, a notification has been issued by the Gandhinagar District Collector.  Accordingly, orders have been issued to close all the leaf stalls in the district till April 30.

 In Gandhinagar district, orders have been issued to keep Panna Galla closed till April 30.  District Collector Kuldeep Arya has issued the order.  Those who violate the rules will also be prosecuted under the Disaster Management Act and section of the IPC.

 Notably, the highest number of 6021 new cases were reported in the state yesterday.  While a further 55 people have died.  Yesterday's cases are the highest ever recorded in a single day.  The total death toll in the state has reached 4855.

 Corona was beaten by 2,854 people in the state yesterday.  So far 3,17,981 people have been discharged with it.  The number of active cases in the state has increased to over 30,000.  The number of active cases in the state has reached 30,680.  Of these, 216 are on ventilators and 30464 are stable.  The recovery rate from Corona in the state is 89.95 per cent.  The total death toll in the state has reached 4855.

 A total of 55 people were killed in Ahmedabad Corporation yesterday, Surat Corporation 18, Vadodara Corporation-7, Rajkot Corporation-4, Rajkot 2, Bharuch 1, Botad 1, Sabarkantha 1 and Surat 1.  The death toll in the state has risen to 4855.
